To do so, we take certain approaches after assessing each individual. Since addiction develops gradually and is solely a state of mind, our counsellors work closely with the members of the community to determine the reasons behind the addiction. After carrying out the necessary assessments, they guide individuals through the withdrawal process.
We know that managing drug and alcohol addiction can be difficult. So, we provide optimised supports for individuals with and without disabilities. Most importantly, our staff help manage addiction with patience and compassion.
What Comprises Our Support with Drugs and Alcohol Addiction?
To restore community members affected by drugs and alcohol addiction, we provide:
- Counselling: Our counsellors arrange private sessions where they communicate with individuals impacted by addiction. They create safe spaces where people can express themselves without hesitation and get advice regarding initiating withdrawal or managing the symptoms caused by it.
- Respite Care: We provide respite care to individuals impacted by addiction. We assist them with various tasks in the accommodations away from their homes. Our staff accompany them to places and assist them in navigating the withdrawal phase.
- Short Stay Accommodation: We provide community members with accommodations where they can live for a few days and rejuvenate. These are safe and functional accommodations that provide comfort and peace of mind. During the short stay, individuals can practise mindfulness and other healthy habits to get over addiction.
- Referral to Hospitals and Specialised Counselling Services: To restore community members, we refer them to hospitals and providers of specialised counselling services where they can recover effectively. Managing symptoms related to addiction can be challenging. So, we implement these services to help community members effectively.
